Hamburger Casserole

by Cindy Rippe

This is a quick and easy recipe given to me a few years ago by a dear friend. It was his mother's recipe, it's been in his family for years. It's a great dish for those cool winter nights! And it makes for great leftovers!! My whole family LOVES it!

2 lbs. ground beef

1 large onion, chopped

2 teaspoons salt

1 tablespoon sugar

1 chopped garlic clove

1 teaspoon pepper

1 8 oz. package cream cheese

1 8 oz. carton sour cream

1 cup (or more) shredded cheddar cheese

1 8 oz. pack angel hair pasta

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Brown the beef in a large skillet. Drain fat. Add onions. Cook until onions are transparent. Next add the garlic, salt sugar and pepper.  Simmer 10 minutes, on low heat, covered. While simmering, cook noodles according to directions. Next, add cream cheese and sour cream  to hamburger mixture until melted.  Drain noodles and mix everything, except cheddar cheese, in a large casserole dish.

this is how it should look

Cover with shredded cheddar cheese.

Now it's time to put it in a 350 degree oven and bake for 30 minutes.

And this is how it will look! It's such a great comfort food! And fairly quick and easy!

I hope your family enjoys this dish as much as mine!!! Enjoy!!!
