7 workout tasks that DON'T work....

All kinds of things stuck out to me when I read about "7 workout tasks that do not work!" First..that the research was done at the University of Wisconsin. Are we known for doing that kind of research there? Hmm..didn't know. Also..that there's only 7 tasks you try at the gym that DON'T work anything out? Gotta be more..right? Here's what the research shows..Tricep Bar Push Downs, Broomstick Twists and Side Bends, Leg Extensions, Leg Press, Hib Abductor, Decline Situps, Straight Leg Deadlift, and the Weighted Good Mornings..where you put a weight on your back..All Ugh moves that don't work. The one I do that works...Hiking...preferably uphill. :)

The Legendary Etta James has passed away but not her music....

The tremendous thing about singers, performers, is that when they leave us...their music doesn't. God Bless Etta....

There will be barking at the Superbowl...

Well crap Packer Fans..it's OVER!!! The season is done, but hang your head high. Packers went 15-1 and that set a record..Packers have NEVER been 15-1..so celebrate today instead of picking apart that last game. Otherwise it'll drive you crazy! Here's a little love for Aaron Rodgers when they "mic-ed him up" with a microphone! I love it when they do this kinda stuff...

Packer Face by CWA gets you ready for the Playoffs!!!

I've known the guys in CWA (Cheeseheads with Attitude) since the Packers played in the Superbowl against the New England Patriots in the SuperDome in New Orleans! I intro-ed these guys at the Superbowl when the Packers played against Denver out there. So needless to say..I'm a fan and love to hear their music! This year's stellar addition to the CWA catalog of Packer songs is "Packer Face"..a great take off of Lady Gaga's "Poker Face." The video is awesome, the song is perfect!! Dig it everybody and GO PACK GO!!!

Need Packer Prayers right now...

OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ) - The son of Green Bay Packers offensive coordinator Joe Philbin, missing since Sunday, has been found dead in the Fox River.

WTMJ-TV is reporting the body of 21-year-old Michael T. Philbin was pulled from the frigid water Monday by Winnebago County Sheriff's dive team.

Philbin had gone to Oshkosh to visit friends Saturday evening at a home near the UW-Oshkosh campus. Police say he was last heard from by one of his friends around 2 a.m. Sunday.

A call was placed to Oshkosh police Sunday night reporting Philbin missing, after his friends noticed his car remained at their home.

Meantime, an employee of AxleTech called authorities around 2:30 a.m. Sunday, saying he believed he heard someone calling for help from the river after falling through the ice, which was near the UWO campus.

Authorities had begun the search Sunday, and resumed the hunt on Monday.

At around 3 p.m. Monday, the Winnebago County Sheriff's Department reported pulling the body of a white male from the river, believed to be between the ages of 21 and 25.

ESPN Milwaukee's Jason Wilde reported Monday that Packers officials had found out the body was indeed that of Philbin.

During his Monday news conference, Packers head coach Mike McCarthy said that Joe Philbin was not with the team and was in Oshkosh as the investigation continued.

In a statement from Green Bay Packers General Manager Ted Thompson, “The Packers organization is aware of the missing person report regarding Michael Philbin, son of offensive coordinator Joe Philbin. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Philbin family during this difficult time.”

This tragedy comes as the Packers prepare to face the New York Giants in an NFC playoff game Sunday in Green Bay.

Van Halen is back and ready to tour! They played a litttle club in New York and showed that they sound like the old Van Halen you love. The Van Halen with David Lee Roth, Eddie, Alex, and Wolfgang Van Halen now. I have loved Van Halen from the beginning..but when things went south and Van Halen goes and gets Sammy Hagar..I was still in there corner. THEN..they went and got David back and I stopped loving them for a while. They just didn't sound good..they lost it. But judge for yourself...is Van Halen back?? Yes, Yes, Yes!!! Major tour dates start ini February!
