(AWESOME)...CHECK OUT MARIAH CAREY SLURRING HER WAY THROUGH HER ACCEPTANCE SPEECH AT THE PALM SPRINGS FILM FESTIVAL

Mariah Carey didn't help her reputation at the Palm Springs International Film Festival after she ended up giving a slurred acceptance speech after being named Breakthrough Actress for her role in "Precious: Based on the Novel 'Push' by Sapphire."

Mariah had to be escorted onto the stage and at the podium, gave her presenter and "Precious" director Lee Daniels with a little dance and a big hug.

Mariah stood quiet for a few seconds, looked to the ceiling, sighed and said: "Please forgive me, because I'm a little bit, um ..." An audience member finished the sentence for her with a bad word and Mariah said "Yeah! Oooooooh, my goodness!"

For the next few minutes, Mariah rambled about first reading "Push," about meeting author Sapphire, and about meeting one of the night's other honorees, Academy Award-winner Helen Mirren. She had turned down Mariah's part in "Precious".

Then while giving props to the movie's director, she just started clapping for no reason.

Mariah then said: "Sorry. Sometimes I get a little..." She stopped cold to snap her fingers, then said: "... you know, difficult." And then she laughed.

Mariah then told a story about how Lee Daniels told her to play the part, he needed her to listen to him. She was trying to explain but she couldn't come up with the words. She motioned to her face and said: "What do you call it?" Lee Daniels then said he told her to remove her makeup and Mariah said: "You could take my makeup off and I don't look like that (expletive) from the thing." referring to her "Precious" character.

A full minute before Mariah finally left the stage, the audience had started to applaud them off.

Mariah then said: "I thank you all for all listening to my little spiel and God bless you."
