Adele is currently enjoying a third smash single from her world-beating album   21 :  "Set Fire to the Rain" has followed "Someone Like You" and "Rolling in  the Deep" to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart.   In a   video she made in which she discusses the songs on her album, Adele says "Set Fire to the Rain" was inspired by a double whammy.

"I was really, really heartbroken when I met who the song's about,"  she explains. "And he kind of brought me back to life and put me back  together." Unfortunately, her knight in shining armor turned out to be a  dud.  Adele laughs, "He was a d***head as well!"  More generally, Adele  says the song is "just about the contradictions that are in  relationships, really.  One person says this, the other person says  that."

In other Adele news, she'll be the first artist featured on the new season of the PBS series   Live from the Artists Den ,  which debuts February 3; check your local listings for exact airdates  and times.  The episode features Adele performing her hits during a show  taped at the Santa Monica Bay Woman’s  Club in California last year.
