Katy Perry talks starting her own record label

Katy Perry recently revealed in an interview that she is looking to start her own record label, and now she is opening up more about why this is a move she wants to make.

Perry commented that she is hoping to help out people struggling like she did, states Hollyscoop. “I would like to give the opportunity to other people who are frustrated, like what I went through,” Perry explained.

Mostly, she thinks people need to be handled differently in this industry: “I think there are other people out there that are truly talented that have something to say, and their visions need to be realized and they need to be treated fairly. I’m just going to treat people how I want to be treated, you know?”
