Miley Cyrus reveals how Liam Hemsworth proposed

It came as a surprise to many when it was revealed that Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth were engaged, but it seems that actual proposal was just as much a surprise for Cyrus.

Cyrus spoke with Jay Leno about the actual moment when Hemsworth decided to pop the question, states Extra. Cyrus has been holding “Backyard Sessions” that have her giving free online concerts to fans.

And after she performed “Lilac Wine,” one of Hemsworth’s favorite songs, he decided that was the perfect moment: “About 20 minutes after that song — it’s one of Liam’s favorite songs — he asked me to marry him. I had no idea! He was sitting there and I’m like, ‘He’s looking at me funny!’ And then I knew.”
