"Dancing For The Paws"

"Dancing For The Paws" is a fundraising event to benefit the Humane Society of Marathon County that will be held at the Patriot Center in Rothschild, WI on April 13th, 2013. Dance lessons are provided by Get Out & Dance!

When I first got the call to be a participant/dancer for the event, I was a bit skeptical. Why? My dancing skills!? I don't have any. But, when I realized the money would be staying local, and given to the Marathon County Humane Society, that was the deal breaker!

I have been a local to our community for over 30 years! And, I am a strong believer in adopting pets locally. It tears me apart to hear stories about animals that can't find homes. Just over 8 years ago, I adopted one of my best friends, (cat) Nemo. And, right here from the Humane Society of Marathon County. Over that 8 years, Nemo has become one of my best friends, and I don't know what I would do without him.

The humane society was able to make that possible. And that comes from people like you and I, making a donation & adoptions. With my donation of time to "Dancing For The Paws," I hope we can raise money to help the Humane Society stay strong, handle local animals and find them good homes. Every heart deserves love. And, I want to put my love from this event into our local Humane Society of Marathon County.
