First Coat Wasn't the Deepest...

I, for some reason, had Rod Stewart's song "First cut is the deepest" running through my head. I re-sung it in my head as "First Coat Wasn't the Deepest" about our first snow this weekend. It was nice, delicate, and not enough to kick our butts on the road. Not the same story in Minnesota and Iowa. Some parts of Minnesota getting a foot of snow and 400 accidents over the weekend. Iowa got 14 inches of snow!! We had this little trace and that's okay. First you get your brain in snow-driving mode and THEN..you drive more careful once it hits. (photo by Dave Kallaway)
