9-11..a time to remember...

I made this picture during my summer vacation out in the Black Hills. It's the American Flag in an interesting spot. It's a rock island out in Pactola Lake. I shot it with a couple of dates in mind..one was the 4th of July and the other 9-11. If we all take a moment this weekend and remember those who lost their lives on 9-11...that's half of the equation. The other half is to remember our military men and women who fight for our freedom all over the world. The other part of this photo that I look at... the boaters in the background...enjoying the American way of life...full of freedom...and in peace.
