This the summer of "Bands we grew up with" for sure, isn't it!?! One band that I kinda gave up but am willing to give one more shot is Van Halen. I first saw them during the "Women & Children First" tour early, early on. Went and saw them a few more times over the years and then gave up. It seemed like they didn't have their stuff together so why should I pay good money and go see a train wreck. But to me...they do have their act together and I like the package deal too. No kidding..Kool & the Gang is opening for them...what a great mix...funk early..rock all night!!! My wife even might go because as you know there's the debate.."which Van Halen do you like..with David or with Sammy???" My wife loves David Lee Roth..so we'll see. Fingers crossed, buying tickets now.
