Any boy band fans had better get ready to scream, because it was just announced that the Backstreet Boys and New Kids on the Block are doing a joint tour. The tour has been named “NKOTBSB,” and is set to begin summer 2011. Despite its rather difficult name, this tour will probably sell out pretty quickly. So, whether you are an outright fan, or just listen to boy bands as a guilty pleasure, you’ll definitely want to get on the ball, and get your tickets. Tickets for the “NKOTBSB” tour will go on sale later this month, according to Just Jared.
Now, if the upcoming tour news isn’t enough to make you swoon, you’ll also be excited to learn that both bands have also announced their plans to perform together at this year’s American Music Awards. The award show will be held November 21 on ABC.
AMA producer, Larry Klein, says, “New Kids on the Block and Backstreet Boys on one stage is something special. Moments like these are what the AMAs are all about. . .”
If nothing else, both the tour and award show performance should be entertaining for boy band fans. Both the New Kids on the Block and Backstreet Boys will go down in history as two of the ultimate in boy bands.
The boybands are hitting Chicago on June 17th, tickets go on sale for this show on November 17th. Are you excited to see the New Kids on the Block and Backstreet Boys tour together?
