(WANGANUI, NEW ZEALAND) A beauty pageant organization thinks blondes are better-looking than brunettes. That's what 15-year-old Olivia O'Neil is led to believe, following her forced resignation as "Miss Teen Wanganui" after she dyed her hair. Three months ago, she won the tiara as a blonde. Then the pageant organizers scanned her Facebook page and discovered Olivia recently went with brown hair. She got a message via Facebook from the pageant's president (quote) "Is that a wig? I hope it is, don't give me heart failure. Oh my God, please tell me that's a wig."
Pageant spokesman Jevan Goulter confirmed that the tiara was taken away due to Olivia dying her hair (quote) "The expectation in holding the crown was that she maintain the image she had when she won it."
