Five-thousand people were dumped by their dating service after they packed on a few holiday pounds.  BeautifulPeople.com dropped members who gained weight in December.  About 15-hundred Americans were tossed, easily earning the top berth for girth.  The Brits were next with 832 "festive fatties" as the site dubbed them, and Canada weighed in with 533 overeaters. 

BeautifulPeople said people posted photos of themselves celebrating and were turned in by other members.  Company founder Robert Hintze defended the move in a statement, saying, quote, "Letting fatties roam the site is a direct threat to our business model and the very concept for which BeautifulPeople.com was founded."  The site bills itself as the world's largest network of attractive people.
