I'm Not Laughing. SERIOUSLY UNFAIR!

People with more than one cat have a bad reputation amongst folks who don't have a feline pet.  Three-quarters of those taking part in a recent Tidy Cats survey say they would describe the multiple cat owner as "a homebody."  Nearly 70-percent think people with two or more cats are "lonely," while 58-percent have the image of "crazy cat lady" for those with several feline friends.

A majority also think having more than one cat has a negative impact on the cat owner's home.  Three out of four respondents believe a place housing two or more cats would smell bad (not if you clean the litter box regularly!), and 85-percent think the bedding and furniture in the home would be coated in cat hair.  Your keyword is "WHAT"

Cats are great companions.  I think this is an old myth...I know a lot of vibrant, social people that have multiple cats.  It's a case of which comes first...the loneliness or the cat? Cats are loving and loyal--a lonely person would see the benefit of such an animal.  I'm sad that this perception is still out there.  There are certainly people that fit this stereotype but overall, this generalization is just unfair.

I'm not amused...Look at the picture above...That's MY SAMMY...he's the greatest companion ever...he is loving and interactive.  I'd hate to have missed out on such a creature for fear of being the "crazy cat lady!"
