The Brewers left 11 runners on base including two in the 9th of a 5-3 loss on Opening Day Monday afternoon at Miller Park. The highpoint was the play of Carlos Gomez who went 4-5 with a homer in his Brewer debut. The knock on the speedster has always been "can he get on base" to use that speed. The Crew also turned a couple of nifty double plays. Weeks and Escobar should be solid up the middle. Gregg Zaun threw out the first runner who tried to steal. There were positives despite the loss and the two teams will be right back at it tonight. Randy Wolf makes his Brewer debut and you can hear the game on WSAU...pre game at 6:35.

The Bucks will try to clinch a playoff spot tonight at Chicago. They will play the rest of the season without Andrew Bogut who had surgery. Can Kurt Thomas fill the void? He is a veteran who has a decent mid range jumoer and will do the dirty work under the basket...but he's no Bogut.

The East Lumberjack baseball blew a 7th inning lead and dropped an easy popup that would have ended the game but came back and won in 10 innings at Nekoosa yesterday. We will have doubleheader baseball today (weather permitting) on Foxsports1390 WRIG.First up is East at Neenah at 4:15....followed by Appleton West at DC Everest.

Expressway to Your Heart-Soul Survivors (1967) the first hit for the producing team of Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff who later went on to produce the "Sound of Philadelphia" with the spinners and the O'Jays. Despite the name and sound...these guys are white.

Expecting To Fly-Buffalo Springfield (1967) one of the ambitious Neil Young songs from the Springfield's second album. The rest of the band isnt even heard on this one as the disputes that splintered the group the next year were already simmering. Buffalo Springfield was a kick-ass live band which really doesn't show up in most of their recorded work.
