Jeff Suppan gave up 6 hits and 4 runs in five innings of work on Thursday. He also gave up a couple of home runs and has an era of 7.20. And yet Manager Ken Macha said he was satisfied with Suppan's effort. If the bar for Suppan has fallen so far that a performance like that is acceptable then they have to stop all comments about this being anything than a money issue. The only reason they continue to trot him out there is because of his big contract and that is unacceptable for a team that is supposed to be a contender. Now obviously it's easy for me to say that...it's not my money. But Owner Mark Attanasio is a smart business man and he must realize you don't throw good money after bad. Eat a bad investment and don't make it worse by hanging on to it too long. Suppan's shelf life as a reliable starter expired long ago...Brewer fans don't want to keep biting the same stale biscuit.
