The Legion baseball season came to an end on Sunday for the Post 10 Bulldogs. We were eliminated at the Northwest Regional in Spokane Washington by Kelso Washington 13-10 We went 2-2 at the tournament and had a great time but what's a little bit disappointing is the fact that we led our last game 7-2 and couldnt put it away. After losing our opener 14-0 to eventual regional champ Roseburg Oregon, the bulldogs bounced back and eliminated Anchorage Alaska and Cheyenne, Wyoming in the losers bracket before Sunday loss sent us home. It took 20 hours of convoluted travel to get us home by the cheapest ways possible.
I had never been to the Spokane area but it was beautiful. The campus of Gonzaga where the tournament was held is a gem and the weatehr was gorgeous. Spokane is only about 20 miles from the Idaho border and if I get back some exploring of the national parks in that area will be in order.
I'll get back to a more regular blogging schedule next week after Pat returns from vacation. I'm filling in for Pat the rest of the week.
