Congrats to Konrad Zagzebski of DC Everest and Justin Sinz of Edgar as they will continue their football careers at the Division 1 level. I would imagine most young football players in Wisconsin dream about running out of the tunnel at Camp Randall on game day. For most that's all it is...but for these two young men that dream will play out this fall. Zagzebski will be in the Cardinal & White of the badgers while Sinz will take his Wisconsin Player of the Year status to Purdue.
There are alot of other area high school athletes who will continue to pursue thei sports at the D-2 & 3 level. We sometimes lose track of them after they leave the area but it is a nice reward for all the hard work that you can compete at a high level while pursuing your education.
Baseball fans can get a fix on MLB Network as they carry the Caribeean World Series from Venezuela. Twins fans should be happy that Francisco Liriano appears to be on the comeback trail and has pitched well this winter. Pitchers & catchers report in 16 days.
Songs of The Days
Done Somebody Wrong-Elmore James (1960) The slide blues guitarist had been playing for quite awhile when this became a hit. It's been done by many including the Allman Brothers who cite James as one of their prime influences.
Don't Drink The Water-Dave Mathews Band(1998) I never was really into the DMB but know some folks who are. They certainly are a talented bunch and this tune about European colonization of North America is a favorite.
