As we head to Super Bowl Sunday the NFl Players association suggested this week that the NFL owners are preparing for a lockout of the players after next season. 2010 is the final year of the collective bargaining agreement and the players think the owners want a better deal and are willing to shut down the NFL to get it. Commisioner Roger Goodell said yesterday he thinks both sides can come to an agreement before that happens. Enjoy next season...you never know.

Songs of the Day
Doolin Dalton-Eagles (1973) from my favorite Eagles Lp "Desperado" comes this tune about the infamous Doolin-Dalton gang. Check out the cover photographs on the LP..they tell their own story. This video features the original band....Henley, Frey, Meisner & Leadon with Felder soon to join...when they still did "country-rock" .
Doraville-Atlanta Rythmn Section (1974) their first 'hit'..minor though it was ...gave us a taste of the tight playing honed by years as studio musicans for other artists. No flash...it was all about the music.
