The British Open is underway and John Daly is only a few strokes off the first round lead. The hard-living american has been playing brutal golf the last few years but there's something about the British Open that revives his game. can he keep it upf for a whole weekend? Probably not but with his wild outfits and grip it and rip it style he ceratinly will add some color to the staid Bushwood like atmosphere at St. Andrews.
By the way, the Fleet Street journalists have been busting Tiger Woods chops all week about sex, swearing and spitting. If you play golf do you spit on the golf course and would you change your habit if you played on a course like St. Andrews?

Intersting story out of Green Bay today. The Packers reported their earnings for the last fiscal years. They made a little over 9 miilion dollars in profit...less than half of what they made last year. They say player costs are driving the loss. That's a trend that certainly cannot continue.
