Ah, To Be Young

Posted by Tom King on

So,  I'm watching the Badger basketball & hockey games yesterday...flipping back & forth..and I decide to text my oldest son who is a senior at St. Cloud State to see if he's watching the game or if he has a class. He texts me back that he's AT the game. I remember those days in college...to make trips to Madison on the spur of the moment...just jump in the car and go. He can enjoy that feeling for a few more months before things like jobs and bill-paying becomes the most important thing.

Lots of Congrats today....

The Pointer men's basketball team advanced to the D-3 title game with a win last night. They will play Williams College tonight.

The Wausau West girls basketball team rallied from 14 down with a little over 4 minutes to play and beat Marshfield in Overtime last night. They will play River Falls tonight with a trip to state on the line. Pat Galligan has an experienced crew that didn't panic and are now one step away. Wausau Newman and Wittenberg/Birnamwood are also playing for State tonight

35 for Brandon Jennings last night as the Bucks bounced back and beat Scaramento in Double OT.

Hopefully Jeff Suppans outing yesterday is enough for the Brewer brass to realize that he belongs no where near the Milwaukee rotation this year. Please, we beg you!

Sampled a beer last night called 'Night Train" from the O'so company out of Plover. It's a stout that is very tasty and powerful. Need to be careful with this one.

Songs of The Day (from my I-Pod)

Every Kinda People-Robert Palmer (1978) before his techno pop days he was sort of a pop-reggae guy. This comes from an excellent Lp called "Double Fun".

Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic-The Police (1981) A Sting song that he wrote in the mid-70's but wasnt released until the "Ghost in the Machine" LP.
