The Packers were one of the teams that voted to change the overtime rules in NFL playoff games. Starting this season if a team kicks a field goal on the first possession of overtime the other team will get the ball with a chance to tie or win. if the game is tied after that...the usual sudden death rules will be in effect. Mike McCarthy isnt sure that the rules should be different for playoff games...that the rules should be the same for the regular season as well.

With the release of Scott Schoenweis yesterday it appears that Manny Parra or Chris Narveson will be headed to the bullpen as the second left-hander. Which also means that Jeff Suppan will be in the starting rotation...say it isnt so!!!

The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters of the Northwoods League announced the signing of UWSP sophomore Justin Jirschele. The Pointers are ranked 18th nationally in D-3 and are the pre-season favorite to win the WIAC.

I hit about 80 flyballs to the Wisc Valley/Northland Lutheran baseball team yesterday...where's the ibrupofen? The high school baseball season will get going with games next week. i'll have Wausau baseball for you this year on Foxsports1390 WRIG. The first game is scheduled for April 1st...weather permitting of course.
