Tod Kowalczyk is leaving UWGB to take over the basketball program at Toledo. This leaves a D-1 opening in the state and that has to look tempting to someone like Pointer coach Bob Semling. Semling is coming off a D-3 National Title and has been an assistant coach at the D-1 level including Green Bay. He refuses to talk about the opening at this point but you have to think that he would like to pursue the oppourtunity. Like Dick Bennett before him the move from Point to Green Bay is a natural one.
Congrats to Jessica Waldvogel of Wausau West who's senior basketball season culminated this week when she was named a unanimous selection to the AP All-State team. Taylor Thomas of Wausau Newman made the 3rd team.
The Bucks hammered the LA Clippers last night. You have to credit GM John Hammond for the moves he's made this year. John Salmons has been a huge contributor and bench players like Jerry Stackhouse, Ersan Ilyasova and Luke Ridnour have been key as well.
The Brewers found a way to postpone a decision on Jeff Suppan. they placed him on the disabled list yesterday which gives them a couple of weeks to decide what to do with him.
