Lawrence Taylor terrorized NFL quarterbacks for years and earned a spot in the NFL Hall-of-Fame. Now he's accused of another kind of terror. Taylor was arrested and charged with statutory rape of a 16 year old runaway. The 51 year old Taylor didn't enter a plea and was released on a $75,000 bond. It's just another example of the mentality of many pro athletes that they can have whatever they see. Whether it's Tiger Woods, Ben Roethlisberger or any number of athletes that have faced similar charges over the years...no one seems to learn...they just keep making the same mistakes over and over.
Latroy Hawkins was terrible again last night as the Dodgers scored 4 in the bottom of the ninth after the Brewers had tied it in the top of the inning. the team didn't lose any ground as the Cardinals and Cubs both lost as well. The Brewers start a series in Arizona tonight.
Local football fans can get their fix starting Saturday as the Central Wisconsin Spartans begin their season. They will face the U.P. Arctic Blast at 4pm at Steihm Stadium at DC Everest.

Songs of The day (from my I-pod)
Flirtin with Disaster-Molly Hatchet (1979) an entry in the Southern Rock pantheon following in the footsteps of Lyrnyd Skynrd. They would never cook like this again.
Floorboard Blues-Cowboy Junkies (1994) a Canadian band featuring the Timmins family. It's arresting amalgam of blues, country, rock, folk and jazz...and Margo Timmins voice holds it all together.
