The Brewers got some quality work from the bullpen last night as they beat the Pirates 4-3. John Axford was called up from the minors and pitched 2 shutout innings and Carlos Villaneuva pitched the 9th for the save. Why not give him a try as the closer?..and if he pitches well, make Hoffman the set-up man when he's ready to come back. The team has some roster problems as they head to Minnesota for interleague play. Jody Gerut left the team to be with his wife who is expecting and Gregg Zaun injured himself batting last night...he goes on ther DL. But Former Twin Carlos Gomez come off the list to play tonight.

The Pointers got a gem from Scott Williams yesterday as they beat St. Thomas 2-1 at the NCAA D-3 Regional. They will play Whitewater today at 11 am.

Congrats to the Wausau East Girls Soccer team and The Stevens Point Boys Tennis team who clinched conf titles yesterday.

Fools Rush In-Rick Nelson (1963) a Johnny Mercer song from 1940 which was done by many including Frank Sinatra and Elvis. Here's the smooth as butta Rick Nelson with the fabulous James Burton on guitar. His guitar work gave Nelson's songs their rock&roll edge.
