The Badger basketball team won their 5th in a row last night and moved to within a game of first place in the Big Ten. They shut down Indiana, holding the Hoosiers to 30 points under their season average. Tom Crean's team has come back down to earth, losing four of their last five. Wisconsin was led by Ben Brust and Ryan Evans. Evans has been a pleasant surprise on the offensive end. We knew he could rebound and defend bu he is also giving Bo Ryan some points in the paint. Wisconsin also bounced back from a poor free throw shooting agme to nail 12-12 in the second half to seal up the win.
They are now 1 game behind Michigan, Michigan State and Ohio State in the conference chase and will face last-place Penn State on the road Tuesday.
The Bucks continue their tough stretch of games tonight in Chicago. Andrew Bogut sprained his ankle Wednesday night and his status is unclear.
It's NHL All-Star weekend in Ottawa and at least they have fun with the game. The players slelected for the game are all thrown into a pool and the two captains pick the players for their team in a fantasy type draft. It makes for some interesting combinations.
A triple header of high school basketball tonight on Foxsports1390 WRIG. I'll have the East-West girls and boys doubleheader up first from the East gym live at 5:45. That will be followed by DC Everest girls basketball vs Stevens Point.
