What Happened To The D

Posted by Tom King on

The NFL games yesterday were an offense lovers dream. As we gorged on turkey and pumpkin pie...Tom Brady, RG3, Matt Schaub, Matt Stafford & Tony Romo gorged themselves on shoddy defense and put lots of points on the board. Alot of fantasy football owners took big leads over the opponents after yesterdays track meets. What happened to the D? This is late November...I know that two of the games were played in a dome...but isnt defense supposed to rule this time of year? The rules certainly favor the offense these days and with the added penalties for almost any kind of hard hit...the defense has never been at more of a disadvantage. The league knows that most fans want to see big scores and they are happy to oblige. If I was a betting man taking the over each week would seem to be a winning strategy.

No pro football today but lots of college football including Nebraska facing Iowa in Big Ten play.

The Badger basketball team faces 12th ranked Creighton in Las Vegas tonight. You can hear the game on WSAU at 8pm.

We will have a doubleheader of high school hoops action on Foxsports 1390 AM & 93.9 FM.

First up its Wausau East hosting Stevens Point Pacelli at 730 followed by DC Everest Girls basketball vs Rhinelander.

Leaving Las Vegas-Sheryl Crow (1994) actually her first US single...before "All I Wanna Do" launched her into the stratosphere

Left Of Center-Suzanne Vega (1986) a catchy little tribute to the outcasts...from the soundtrack of "Pretty in Pink" and featuring Joe Jackson on piano
