A sports fan can find alot to check out this weekend. The Packers take on the Vikings at Lambeau on Sunday at noon...and why can't all Packer games be on Sunday at noon? :-)
Green Bay needs to bounce back after the dreadful performance last week because you don't want to fall 2 games behind the Bears at this point in the season. Chicago takes on Russell Wilson & Seattle also at noon on Sunday.
The Badger Football team takes on Nebraska Saturday night for the Big Ten Title and a trip to the Rose Bowl. Ohio State & Penn State fans can whine all the want but they are not playing in the game for good reasons. The Badgers have suffered some tough losses this season but should make the game competitive and need not apologize for being there.
The Badger basketball team plays Sunday afternoon as they host California. Wisconsin still trying to find their way and will try and bounce back from a rare home loss earlier this week. Sam Dekker certainly appears to be the real deal.
The Badger hockey team is in Denver for two games tonight & tomorrow. You can hear tonights game on WSAU.
The Bucks are back in action tonight and Saturday. They play in Minneapolis tonight and host Boston on Saturday.
And the Wisconsin Valley Conference basketball season gets underway tonight. East & West square off to start the season in both girls & boys hoops. That will lead off our tripleheader on Foxsports1390 AM & 93.9 FM at 6pm...followed by DC Everest boys basketball vs Stevens Point. I'll also have East hockey Saturday night following the Badger football game. And of course, all of our high school broadcasts are available as podcasts on our websites Foxsports1390.com and wsau.com.
Enjoy your weekend!
Let It Go, Let It Flow-Dave Mason (1977) Mason had a string of hits and solo albums through the 70's after leaving Traffic. Here is a video of a more recent performance and it's amazing how good he still sounds
Let It Grow-Eric Clapton(1974) a solid track from Clapton's "comeback" album "461 Ocean Boulevard". After rehabbing from his heroin addiction he headed to Miami and recorded the LP which included the #1 hit remake of I Shot The Sheriff". Love the playing at the end of this one.
