The high school football playoffs begin tonight around the state of Wisconsin. There is something about a loser out game that sharpens the senses. Both Wausau East and DC Everest have been in playoff mode for a number of weeks, having to win their last few games to even make the playoffs. We will have a doubleheader of action tonight on Foxsports1390 WRIG . I'll be in Holmen for as the Lumberjacks look to advance in D-2.  pre game at 6:45..Chris Conley will have the Everest-Bayport game right afterwards.

The Paul Bunyan Ax game is always one of my favorite games of the year. I've had the chance to attend a number of them and the unbridled joy that the winning team has when they parade the Ax around the stadium is one of the things  that makes college football special. You can hear tomorrows game on WSAU beginning with the pre game show at 9am.

The Tigers dismantled the Yankees in four straight. And it looks like the Cardinals again for the National League. That should be a competitive series but I've got to go with the Tigers.
