Last night was the girls turn to sing.  I thought there were only a couple of stand outs.  Who was your favorite?  They were better than last week.  Who was better...the girls or the guys?  OK...it's soapbox time for Tony:  I get irritated at people who make fun of artists that are "American Idol types" or who are young artists such as Justin Bieber.  No you don't have to like everything, although I think people who say they have an open mind are usually the ones who have the most narrow acceptance of other things.  But this singing competition drives home, to me anyway, just how hard, competative, and how much work it takes to be a success in the entertainment business.  These contestants are working very hard, and in spite of that, only a handful will succeed.  It is truly a brutal, tough business.  If you want to do it yourself, by all means, follow your dream, and I wish you the best.  But it's not easy.  It's very hard.  Off the soapbox now.  Keyword:  success  Picture from americanidol.com
