One of my greatest pet peeves is people who waste water irrigating their lawn. Over the weekend our area received over 2 inches of rain. That should mean that no one in my neighborhood should be running their sprinkler system for at least a week, right? Wrong. There are 3 or 4 people in my neighborhood who water their lawns no matter how much rain we've received. It drives me nuts. They must be made of money, because the city doesn't give away the water used on our lawns - it's not cheap. Truly a good lawn only needs about one inch of water each week.
Well now that I've got that out. Truly, a good lawn only needs about one inch of water each week. Found this short video that goes over the science behind watering, or not watering so much.
