Of Course There Were Upsets

by Tom King

Does anybody have a perfect bracket standing?  If you do you had to have picked Dayton, Harvard, and North Dakota State. The Badgers had little trouble with American University with a dominating second half. The 75-35 win was the biggest margin of victory in Badger NCAA history. It will be a bit tougher against the high scoring Oregon Ducks on Saturday night at 7pm.

Michigan and Michigan State both advanced. UW-Milwaukee got dumped by Villanova. The fun continues today.

If you want to take a break from the TV and see some live sports...head down the road to Stevens Point. The NCAA D-3 Final Four will tip off tonight at Quandt Fieldhouse. UW Whitewater is there and the Warhawks mens team is also in the D-3 Final Four in Salem Virginia.

The Badger hockey team will face Penn State this afternoon in the Big Ten Tournament. The Nittany Lions upset Michigan yesterday. You can hear the game on WSAU at 2pm. The other semi-final has Minnesota vs Michigan State.

The Badger women are at Hamden Connetticut vs Minnesota in theFrozen Four this afternoon.

Looking forward to seeing and hearing Trampled By Turtles on Sunday night at the Grand Theater. I believe tickets are still available to see one of the hottest up and coming bands in the country. there guys can play!
