MADISON, WI (WTAQ) - In an unusual move, the Wisconsin Assembly passed the proposed two-year state budget without much of a debate. The abrupt vote was 55-42. WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAU) – A Stratford man accused of beating his girlfriend to death in March has had his bond reduced.
A judge modified Eric Mayer’s bond from $80,000 to $60,000 cash. The change will let Mayer use $20,000 to pay his legal expenses and for expert witnesses.
Mayer said he hit Cindy Tyler once in the head after she kicked him in the mouth following a night of drinking. The 42-year-old Tyler died from blunt force trauma.
A three-day jury trial is set for March 16th.
