WAUSAU, Wis (WSAU) The driver involved in a rollover crash on Monday was in Marathon County court yesterday. 23-year-old Dang Chang is accused of running a stop sign and losing control of his vehicle near County Highway Z in eastern Marathon County. His 4-year-old nephew was in the car, and remains in critical condition after being airlifted to St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.
Police say Chang's blood alcohol level was twice the legal limit. Police say he was drinking at a picnic at the Dells of Eau Claire, and had an open beer can in his car.
Chang is charged with causing injury by intoxicated use of a vehicle. Bond was set at 5-thousand dollars.
