STEVENS POINT, Wis (WSAU) Stevens Point police have ID’ed a body pulled from the Wisconsin River on Friday. It’s 56-year-old Bernice Adams.
The medical examiner ruled that drowning is the cause of death, and that there were no signs of foul play. The circumstances of how she got into the river are still being investigated.
Her body was discovered by a fisherman on Friday afternoon in the water near Bukolt Park. She was wearing tennis shoes, a blue jacket, and jeans. She was not carrying identification.
