LAFAYETTE COUNTY, Wis. (WTAQ) - A 19-year-old man faces a possible charge of homicide by drunk driving, in a one-vehicle crash early Friday that killed a man in southwest Wisconsin.
Lafayette County authorities said 24-year-old Nelson Villalobos-Silva died at the scene, after the vehicle he was in struck a driveway culvert and overturned several times. The crash happened on a Lafayette County road about 2 miles north of Gratiot. Villalobos-Silva was ejected.
Authorities said the driver – 19-year-old Eric Barraza-Martinez of Darlington – was seen walking along the road by emergency crews. He was taken to a Darlington hospital for treatment, and was arrested.
