The British comic was said to have been involved in a serious smash after leaving the set of his new movie Arthur when a truck slammed into the back of his Lamborghini sportscar.

Brand was pictured climbing out of one of the vehicle after the accident, fuelling rumours the crash was quiet serious.

But the funnyman is adamant reports of his 'dramatic escape' were blown out of proportion.

In a post on his Twitter.com page, he writes, ""That Lamborghini crash was hardly Jimmy Dean territory, I barely spilled my espresso.""
