STEVENS POINT, Wis (WSAU) UW-Stevens Point is on the new top-ten list of best regional public universities in the Midwest. The list is published by U.S. News and World Report.
The list considers the SAT scores and grades of the incoming freshman class, graduation and retention rates, and class size. U-W-S-P also scores well on the list because its campus diversity has increased, and because of its high percentage of students who spend time studying overseas.
The school also ranks as Wisconsin's greenest university in a separate list from Princeton Review. UWSP developed the first conservation curriculum when Teddy Roosevelt was president.
