STEVENS POINT, Wis (WSAU) There were no injuries in a Christmas Day fire on Heffron Street in Stevens Point. It happened around 9pm, and the home suffered extensive damage to the front porch, the front area of the main floor, and the second floor. The home appears to be uninhabitable.

The family that lives there was opening Christmas presents when the fire started. Everyone made it out safely.

The exact cause is still under investigation. Firefighters from Stevens Point, Hull, and Plover responded to the alarm.
