BURNETT COUNTY, Wis. (WTAQ) - A snowmobiler was killed overnight in northwest Wisconsin. Burnett County authorities said a 41-year-old man died at the scene, after his machine crashed on a town road north of Highway 70 in the town of Meenon about 12:45 a.m. Thursday. 3 people with the victim were arrested for snowmobiling while intoxicated. They were a 27-year-old Siren man, a 24-year-old Webster man, and a 37-year-old woman from Owatonna Minnesota. The DNR is investigating the crash. 14 people have now been killed in Wisconsin snowmobile crashes this winter. 2 have died so far in February. The other victim was an 81-year-old man in a Chippewa County mishap on Monday.
