PORTAGE COUNTY, Wis. (WTAQ) - Authorities are still trying to figure out why a car driver was in the wrong lanes of an expressway east of Stevens Point, and died after hitting an oncoming car. Portage County sheriff’s deputies said the crash was nearly head-on. It happened about 7:20 p.m. Sunday on Highway 10 in the town of Lanark. Officials said the wrong way driver was ejected and died at the scene. The other driver was hurt but not hospitalized.
