KENOSHA, Wis. (WTAQ) - Kenosha Police have arrested a man wanted for killing a woman in a traffic crash while he was being pursued by officers. Officials said Monday that 31-year-old Johnny Jones of Kenosha had been picked up on Sunday. They did not say where the arrest took place. The crash occurred about 2:30 a.m. on New Year’s Eve. Kenosha Police said they were trying to stop Jones for not having a license plate on the front of his vehicle, when he drove through a red light and hit a car coming from the side. A passenger in that car, 21-year-old Shanica Adams, was killed. She was a senior at UW-Madison. And her boyfriend who was driving the car was seriously injured. Police said Jones’s vehicle kept going after the crash. He’s charged with reckless homicide, and hit and run causing death and injury.
