STEVENS POINT, Wis. (WSAU) – Stevens Point has hired a new community development director.
Michael Ostrowski will take over for Michael Morrissey when he leaves July 2nd to work for a private consulting firm in Wausau. Morrissey started with Stevens Point last fall. He was Wausau’s community development director until June 2008.
Ostrowski is currently the director of planning and economic development for the city of Wisconsin Rapids. He previously served as an assistant to former Mayor Gary Wescott.
“He will be a great addition to the city staff,” Mayor Andrew Halverson said of Ostrowski’s hire.
Ostrowski has earned masters degrees in public administration and urban planning.
