PORTAGE, Wis. (WTAQ) - The State Patrol is investigating the weekend death of Madison woman who crashed while driving the wrong way on an Interstate. 57-year-old Kim Sanft died at the scene of the crash, which happened late Saturday night on I-39 about 10 miles north of Portage. The patrol said somebody reported a vehicle going north in the southbound lanes – but before an officer could find it, the crash happened. The other driver, a 23-year-old suburban Chicago man, suffered non life-threatening injuries. Troopers were still trying to determine at last word if alcohol was a factor.
