STEVENS POINT, Wis (WSAU) The Center Point Marketplace Mall in Stevens Point will be sold to the bank for 1-point-2 million dollars. The owners of the mall, Dial Properties, accepted that bid as a fair price during a sheriffs auction yesterday. Valley Bank, which foreclosed on the property, is the buyer.
Dial said there are other unresolved issues with the sale, which will be the subject of a court hearing on June 24th. The closing wont be final until after that.
The mall's long-term future is unknown. It's had a high vacancy rate in recent years, and has lost J-C Penny, one of its anchor stores.
