UNDATED (WSAU) Some Wisconsin Public Service customers are just coming through a second night without electricity. The utility has made progress restoring power from the Tuesday and Wednesday wind-storms. But there are still 12,000 customers in the dark.
Most of the outages that remain are in the Minocqua and Wabeno areas. There are only scattered outages in Rhinelander, Tomahawk, Eagle River, and Merrill. As of yesterday, power was restored in the Wausau and Stevens Point areas.
W-P-S expects to have power back on for almost everyone today.
These outages were caused by winds gusts over 60 miles-per-hour that brought down trees and tree limbs across power lines.
