WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAU) – The Wausau school board has scheduled a meeting to finalize a contract with their new choice for superintendent.
The school board picked their final nominee for the position last month in Kathleen Williams, a former superintendent of a suburban Chicago School district. Williams accepted the position but had not accepted any terms or contract.
School board president Michelle Schaefer said a couple of contract details still were being ironed out, such as when Williams will start.
Williams replaces former superintendent Steve Murley, who resigned June 30 to become superintendent of the Iowa City, Iowa, School District.
That closed session meeting starts tomorrow afternoon at 12:15.
