HOUSTON (TSN-WSAU) Mat Gamel doubled home the go-ahead run and scored in the 10th inning as Milwaukee recovered from blowing a five-run lead to come back and beat Houston, 8-6, to salvage the last of a three-game set.

Ryan Braun went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run and three runs batted in and Rickie Weeks belted a home run and scored twice for the Brewers, who halted a six-game slide at Minute Maid Park.

John Axford (8-1) grabbed the win with two scoreless innings in relief as Milwaukee won for just a fourth time all season when trailing after eight innings.

Matt Lindstrom (2-5) suffered the loss after being unable to retire any of the three batters he faced for the Astros, who had a three-game win streak halted.

Angel Sanchez went 1-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI to extend his hitting streak to a career-high nine games for Houston, which bunched all six of its runs and hits in the fifth inning.

The Brewers are off Thursday, and play the Giants in San Francisco on Friday.
