BELOIT, Wis. (WTAQ) - Police in Beloit are investigating an accident in which a 7-year-old boy fell out of his mother’s car, and was run over.

The boy was critically injured in the accident, which occurred Sunday night on Beloit’s east side. Police said the woman was backing out of her driveway when the boy was hurt.

He was first taken to a Beloit hospital, and was later flown to Rockford Memorial Hospital about 20 miles away in Illinois.
