A new poll shows Lansing Mayor Virg Bernero gaining ground on his opponent Rick Snyder in the race for Michigan governo. The WLNS-TV poll shows the Democrat Bernero with 31-percent, compared to Snyder’s 49-percent. An EPIC/MRA poll taken last month showed Snyder with a more than 20-point lead.
Meantime—a Bernero-Snyder debate appears less likely to happen before the November 2nd election. Talks on scheduling a head-to-head debate broke down about a week ago when Bernero’s staff made demands Snyder’s people found unreasonable.
